Supervision Contract
Please read the following information to get the most out of this experience. If you have any questions or concerns, please raise them with me.
Contract terms:
The contract terms help you know what to expect. They include the fees you pay, the time of your appointments, the frequency of sessions, and what you and I expect from each other.
Confidentiality:
All sessions will be conducted in confidence. Normally, what you talk about with me will be kept co however, there are certain exceptions to this. For example:
Cancellations:
You are expected to give at least 24 hours’ notice of any cancellation, or adjustment to your pre-scheduled session time, otherwise you could be charged for the session at full rate.
Contact outside of Scheduled Supervision Sessions:
There may be occasions when you wish to consult me outside of appointment times. This can be done by phone or email if necessary. Please understand I am rarely immediately available, but I will return your call if you leave a message, or text me. I suggest texting as I have an ongoing issue with my voicemail. Contact outside of said hours is not encouraged as I do not offer triage services. It is also inadvisable to mix a social and a therapeutic relationship. Phone calls that are within a ten-minute time span will not attract any fees for service and will be considered as part of the service, within reason. Phone calls that go over ten minutes will be considered as a professional supervision session and a fee for service will be charged at the hourly rate ratio.
Indemnity:
You are not an employee or agent of (Your business name or Your name) and, as such, you will indemnify (Business name and Your name) against any action arising from any client or yourself in relation to your activities. You are solely responsible and accountable for your counselling practice.
Making the most of each Supervision Session:
Those who get the most out of Supervision are usually the ones who use their session time to increase awareness, learn new skills and be actively involved in getting what they want from the sessions. They are also the ones who are willing to try out new behaviours in between sessions and take time to reflect on the work.
Sometimes it is helpful to write after a session and bring this to your next session. If, at any time, you are left with concerns or discomfort from a session it is very important that you tell me about this either when it is happening or at the next session.
